On April 9th, 2022, MakeSPP will host its fourth annual hackathon — a student-organized in-person conference bringing together 200+ innovative middle and high school students. Led by students from St. Peter’s Prep and St. Dominic Academy in Jersey City, its goal is to promote computer science education and inspire the next generation of innovators, especially for those without the same opportunities at their high school. Novices are encouraged to join, as we have beginner workshops and various mentors from the software industry to assist throughout the event. Participants will hear from keynote speakers and collaborate and meet with other students from the community to create coding projects, with activities and games to provide a break to the constant coding. Entrants also enjoy a complimentary T-shirt, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Over $5,000 in prizes will be given out, so we will have many winners! Good luck!
